Secure File Upload is a personal, non-commercial web application that allows users to upload files directly to their own Google Drive account, organized by subject-based folders. This application runs entirely in your browser and does not store any user data on third-party servers.
2. Data We Access
This application requests the following Google API scope:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file - View and manage Google Drive files and folders that you have opened or created with this app
What this means:
- ✅ The app can create new files/folders in your Drive
- ✅ The app can manage only files it created
- ❌ The app CANNOT access your existing Drive files
- ❌ The app CANNOT share, delete, or modify files outside its own creations
3. How Your Data Is Used
- File Uploads: Files are uploaded directly from your browser to YOUR Google Drive using Google's official API. No file content passes through or is stored on any server controlled by the developer.
- Your Name: The name you enter in the form is only used to prefix uploaded filenames (e.g., "Ashish_notes.pdf"). It is not stored, logged, or shared.
- Subject Categories: Subject names are used only to organize folders in your Drive. Custom subjects are saved only in your browser's local storage.
- Authentication: Google handles all authentication. The app receives only an access token with limited scope, never your password.
4. Data Storage & Retention
We do not store:
- ❌ Your uploaded files
- ❌ Your Google account credentials
- ❌ Your personal information
- ❌ Usage logs or analytics
All data remains in your personal Google Drive account under your control.
5. Your Rights & Controls
- Delete Files: You can delete any uploaded file directly from your Google Drive at any time.
- Revoke Access: You can revoke the app's access to your account anytime: Google Account Permissions
- Stop Using: You may stop using the app at any time with no penalty.
- Request Data: Since we store no user data, there is no data to request or export.
